Ms. Berkus received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arizona and received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law. She was an Associate Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal, Journal of Americas.
Ms. Berkus was admitted to practice in California in December 2004 and joined Oldman Cooley Sallus Birnberg Coleman & Gold LLC in May 2007 as a litigation associate. She represents and advises clients regarding the proper administration of complex trusts, estates, guardianships and conservatorships. When necessary, she handles litigation including attending and defending depositions, drafting pleadings and motions, and appearing in court. In addition, she handles conservatorship matters, trust administration as well as working with young families in drafting estate plans.
Ms. Berkus is a member of the Beverly Hills, San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles County Bar Associations.
She is as a member of the Mentoring Association of Mother Attorneys of Los Angeles. Julie won a Super Lawyer Rising Star Award in 2015, 2016, 2017; and a Super Lawyer recognition in 2018.
